Hitnes

We’ve been to France, Belgium and Spain , and now it’s time for Italy to get a splash of colour as our Wall to Wall tour around Europe continues with Rome-based artist Hitnes in Naples. We caught up with him as the paint dried to chat discipline, inspiration, and one big cassowary….
How did you begin painting?
I have always painted and drawn since I’m little …then graffiti arrived through friends, school, and thirst for fun …
How would you describe your work?
Two spoons of fishes, a jar of branches and leafs, 4 owls, 3 lemons, one big Cassowary, butter, sugar, chuck the ingredients in a huge pan adding onions and morays. When is all combined just add clouds and serve hot white broccoli!
What is the street art scene like in Italy?
The street art scene of the world is like all the people that creates it, there’s a different scene for each person!
What would be your dream wall to paint?
Haven’t seen it yet!
What inspires you?
Mainly everything…the vast world of nature is my favorite inspiration!
What advice would you give to anyone hoping to follow in your footsteps?
Try to appreciate discipline and watch out for the cassowary!
