Artists Judit and Marcos grew up on the volcanic island of Tenerife. Now living and working together in Barcelona, they share a bed but never their art. We got to know the creative couple through our upload section.

Marcos finds inspiration in horror
A former graphic designer Marcos is now an illustrator. Drawing from an early age he always had a pen and paper in hand. The subcultures of skate, surf, punk & rock are all influences but it’s 50’s horror films and comics such as Creepy and Creep show that are Marcos’s first love.

Judit has a passion for fashion
Marcos’ partner, Judit, is a fashion illustrator. Drawing for magazines and brands she finds inspiration through fashion photography, flea markets, music and old movies. Growing up, Judit spent most of her time daydreaming and sketching – which by the way is still the case today.

Beauty and the Beast
Marcos and Judit met during their studies in Tenerife. After ending their degree they decided to move to Barcelona together and since they were sharing everything else why not also share a studio. As you can see from the pictures above, Marcos and Judit have very different styles which is why they haven’t yet worked together, but doing a project together is something they dream of.

Marcos’ illustrations focus on darkness, monsters and beasts while Judit’s focus on fashion, clothes and beauty. They both agree their illustrations reflect parts of their personalities…
